So, I realise that I haven’t the *best* at keeping up with this blog — probably because of grad school.
But I realised recently that I’ve been way too stressed and too tired from everything and that I need to focus more on myself. WHICH MEANS actually keeping up with this blog — over the summer it was a very meditative practice for me because I was engaged in a community with people who also strive to be healthy and happy beyond the superficial notions of weight loss and material wealth.
That isn’t to say that I’m not trying to get stronger (and perhaps go down a pants size or two), but rather that its about *more* than the UGW that I posted on here back in the summer. Ah, well.
Some good news! I got a job at a yoga studio. I’m using it to work towards getting my hours and the money for yoga teacher training — which seems like a viable option more and more every day. Plus, school appears to be going well. So, I’m not really sure why I am so stressed???? Perhaps it’s time to hit the gym and count my blessings.

I joined a gym yesterday you guys!! aaaah!! So now I have no excuse not to go and deadlift and be awesome. Plus, when my friend heard I was signing up she went with me and got a membership too so now I have an accountability buddy.
My list is getting closer and closer to being accomplished!!
Today was a bit odd concerning my mental state. I guess the fact that it’s super slushy outside made me extra irritable but it felt good to go to work and do some menial, non-academic tasks for a while. I’m happy about that.
Considering I’ve made some progress on determining that I do want to be happier and better adjusted, I’m going to continue the food diary business too. **Remember, I always tag these posts as “food log” and put the actual consumption under a read more just in case these might be triggering**
Otherwise, I think I’m doing alright. My plan is to check out the gym after community tea tomorrow. Huzzah! It’s only half a mile walk from school (albeit it will probably take forty minutes with the condition that this city is in!!)
